Online Educational Media Certificate

The
online graduate certificate in Educational Media (Ed Media)
provides an opportunity for teachers and library media specialists
to become proficient in the skills and training needed
to administer and manage an effective media program and to
develop
leadership
skills.
Students will acquire the subject matter needed to meet the professional educational media standards developed by the Florida Department of Education (FL DOE), the American Library Association ( ALA )/ American Association of School Librarians (AASL), and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
These core Ed Media graduate level courses are designed for untrained teachers and library
media specialists who are
- obtaining educational media certification by passing
the Educational Media certification examination and
- seeking the academic training needed to successfully perform
the duties of a public school media specialist.
All
Ed Media Certificate courses are taught totally online (Internet
and e-mail) with no on-campus visits.
